Market Place Evangelism (Part B )
Luk 18:35-43
A major paradigm shift of the church is happening & it's towards the marketplace
Faith must be specific
People have no qualms on helping the poor but not the rich
People has this idea that Jesus loves the poor & despise the rich; people love to preach to the poor.
Luk 19:1,5-7
Both Zacchaeus & Bartimaeus are sinners
Luk 19:9-10
"House" = Gr. Oikos which means economy or business
Jesus wanted to change Zaechaeus' business as well & because of the change the society benefits with his salvation: he's giving his wealth into his town
Important is the marketplace too to be changed towards God
Luk 19:11-27
Even though the master is away, his servants are still expected to gain via trading
Authority is given to the faithful
Excel with what you have.
1. God is still expecting us to excel in this broken world
2. The degree you excel is the degree that Jesus will reward you
3. Enemies will not be dealt before we influence His cities
Authority & respect comes from servant hood: we're to be ministers 24/7

Every member is a minister - serving people
Ministry = service
Job is not ministry

4 levels of faith that God wants to bring us through
Level 1: Just a 'Christian'
No total belief
Level 2: Applies 'biblical principles'
Don't want to fall
Level 3: A Christian 'witness'
Getting people saved
Level 4: 'Total transformation'
Changing the world
Go to the top of your industry
