Being A Person Of Influence

We're of great potential but we're not there yet!
Everything in life is to grow!
It is in God's purpose to empower you!

We've the potential to overcome problems
After Salvation comes empowerment

Don't be bond by our circumstances
If we don't develop ourselves, we will be wasting our time
Divine empowerment is based upon on my acceptance of responsibility for what God called me to do

Singaporeans are basically Kiasi, we usually do not dare to step out of our comfort zones, we are always willing to stay small and forgot that we can be people of influence for God

Stepping into the place to take responsibility should always be for God's glory

So God creates a need in the society and He empowers the church to the solution thereby making the church necessary

We don't embrace the 7 deadly sins & don't have the spirit of the world
But Jesus doesn't ask of us to be removed from the world only to be protected from the evil.
He wants us to be cleansed

Jesus wants us to do His work! To mingle with a Godly-attitude!
How has God reacted to temptations?
God placed the tree of the knowledge of good & evil in the middle of the garden fully knowing that it has the ability to tempt Adam. So why didn't God chopped down the tree?
Innocence is not virtue
Virtue is not innocence
Virtue is innocence TESTED
Then will you have power over temptations
So we're still in this world:
1. Religion
2. Family
3. Business
4. Education
5. Government
6. Arts
7. Media
3-7 = marketplace

Daniel dressed in the Babylonian's robes but has holiness in his heart.

Daniel is well-trained in the in Babylonians' arts & sciences (satanic practices) afterall he was their chief!
He was not innocent!
He was a real counsel to King Nebuchodnezzar
But can anyone says he's not a true man of God?

Excellence is the attention to details that give rise to superior performance which leads to promotion in life.
Belteshazzar = Bel will protect his life

Meshach = like the moon god

We can live in the world & live for God!

Christians are not naive!

The power of prayer: intercession!

Ps 78:40-44
A failure in the marketplace doesn't qualify you for a place in the ministries of God at all
Busy & important people are always chosen to do God's works
The materials-side of a person is the manifestation of the spiritual of that person

The amour of God has no protection on the back
Don't ever forget the goodness of God!
You can never out give God!
Ps 78:44-51
Ps 144:12-15
Every great revolution comes from young people
Revival will come through prayer
Our accomplishments will get bigger & faster
An enormous revival will be coming!
We will be ready for the 2nd coming of Jesus!
Day of corrections is the day of change
To be in the spiritual life that God wants us to be in, we need to open for corrections
We need to be planted & sink our roots down for ourselves
We are not saviors of others, we are responsible for ourselves
Looking good is about from inside: your face is smiling & in a relax mood
Happy are the people whose joy is in the Lord

Tithing/ Offering message
Giving is God's way
Don't be stifled by the problems of your life, instead focus on the dreams that is given by God
Christians are afraid of being wealthy but God honours us when we honour Him & He will prospers us!
Ps 144:12
Men: Being a strong & fruitful plant in the house of God
Women: Being a beautiful pillar of the house of God

The foundation of our faith: prayer

Matt 9:37-38
Everything of God, (faith, power, courage, etc.) is build on the foundation of prayer
So we have to pray! The whole-mindedness kinds, not just the constant rumblings we do in the day
Prayer is relating to Jesus & communing with God
Prayer is about relationshipping with God & getting to know God
He is the most important thing in our life
Matt 10:1
Everyone will do something for God but it's different to do something of God
We must pay the price of prayer to do His works
Walk with the Holy Spirit
Rom 8:26
The Holy Spirit is your lawyer! Your advocator!

We can come into the Most Holy Place as the veil of the temple has been torn into 2!
We can come into a connection with God through prayer!
Be careful that the world is after your heart too, we must make the choice between the world & Jesus
Because whatever the world could offer to you is only secondary to what Jesus could give you. Don't be deceived by the world instead be known that completeness is only found in God
Get cleaning from Jesus every day of your life: repentance
There's no repentance without 1st forgiveness of others
Passion is then your next step: read the living word of God!

Prayer is the lifter of our souls!
Private place...go higher to see further
Things always happens in the spirit before they happen in the nature

Burdens are to give it back to God
Convictions will then come - forgiveness will then come (these are excess baggage & wastage in your life)
God answers nothing except prayers

Effective prayer is decided by faith
Christians lifestyle is not hard when we pray!
God takes a long time to do something suddenly
